General Information / Rules

• *** The performing artists remain anonymous until awards are presented; judging is based solely on the technical and artistic qualities of each tattoo.

• *** Tattoos must be properly cleaned up and presentable (i.e. not seeping or bleeding).

• Tattoos must be complete to enter

• All tattoos entered into the contests must be performed by artists in attendance at the convention.

• Both the tattoo artist and the collector must be present to receive their trophies. In the case that either is absent, trophies will be awarded to the runner up.

• If you are a judge you may not enter any category you are scheduled to judge. You also may not judge a category that one of your artistic pieces has been entered into.

• Photographers  will be present to photograph contest winners and participants. InkSkövde Tattoo Convention reserves the right to publish these photographs for promotional and for documentation purposes.

• The models must be present 5 minutes before the contest starts

• Only tattoo done at the show are eligible for entered into the categories Best of the Show and Best of Day.

Contest Categories

​

Competitions: 

You must have your tattoo done by an attending Artist at the convention.

​

Black and Grey:

Must be only black, grey or white ink used. Tattoos with any color, dots will not be judged in this category.

​

Realistic B&G:

Must be a representation of something only black, grey or white ink used.

​

Realistic Color:

Must be a representation of something whit bright vibrant coloring.

​

Old School:

Western or traditional American tattoo style featuring bold black outlines and a limited color palette.)

​

FreeStyle:

This category includes pieces of ink that are truly unique, highly-creative and out-of-the-box. Category for pieces that do not fit into the other available categories.

Best of the Show

In this category for a tattoo to be registered; it has to be one of the winners from ‘Best of the Day’ categories.

*** By entering Inkskövde/Inkelite and Inkelite Tattoo Competitions you release Inkskövde Ltd. of any and all legalities stemming from copyrighted tattoos, artwork, material or anything in regards to copyrighted tattoos, photographs, clothing or anything else deemed copyrighted or trademarked.
*** Inkskövde Ltd. is not legally responsible for attendees falsifying artist information upon registration or during competitions.
** If a tattoo artist or creator of tattoo artwork does not want their work to be entered in competitions, photographed, displayed or any other visual appreciation at Inkskövde, it is their legal responsibility to let the client/ wearer know this and take appropriate actions to ensure that the client does not enter competitions. The client takes full responsibility for future legalities stemming from such an issue and holds InkSkövde harmless.
